Shayna began her yoga journey 5 years ago with her desire for quiet meditation and a place to escape the mind from over a decade in the restaurant industry. After graduating from American University and moving to DC in 2011, a friend suggested she'd try yoga. She was instantly hooked! The practice allowed her to break free from the anxiety of everyday life, and silence the constant thoughts racing from a busy industry. Wanting to develop her practice deeper, Shayna decided to jump into level 1 teacher training in June 2014. Immediately following level 1, she was eager to complete her 200-hour Teaching Certification, which she did in December 2014. Shayna is currently completing her 500-hour Teaching Certification.
